Who are we?

I am James Kilroy and I started Kilroy Films in 2020 along with my partner Silvia. I am 45 years old, I grew up in Norfolk, later moving to Stevenage in Hertfordshire before settling with Silvia in Borehamwood - what’s that, about 112 miles!

Silvia is definitely the more adventurous one of us having grown up in Northern Italy, spending some time studying in Bournemouth, returning back to Italy and then deciding to chase her dreams in London where she was lucky enough to meet me - I don’t think that was her dream though :-) - 885 miles!

I have an amazing daughter from a previous relationship and together with Silvia we have another amazing daughter who has recently turned 3. The girls (all three of them) are my World and my eldest is also a budding videographer/YouTuber/TokTikker - and may make an appearance as my assistant from time to time.

I have worked in Information Technology since 1999, the year we all thought we had to buy new PC’s as planes were going to literally fall from the sky when the millennium rolled in, you could say that was the first global bug that never really was.

15 Years as an IT Marketing Professional has cemented my love of technology and creativity perfectly and my video journey began about 6 years ago making videos for my employer and more recently for friends, family and local business. I have filmed dancers, live music events, talking heads, takeaway food commercials and even a paranormal investigation documentary!

I am passionate about creating lasting memories in the form of video and I am always learning and striving to be better. My professional career has taught me how to communicate and build lasting relationships with people and my parents taught me how to be kind and considerate. I would definitely say I am a people person first and foremost, which means I want to get to know my clients and understand more about you when I am creating something for you. I do not claim to be the best videographer there is, but I do promise to understand you and what you want to achieve from your film or livestream and therefore produce something personal and meaningful to you that you will cherish for years to come.
